International Boarding Summit 2012
The International Boarding Summit, sponsored by ACSI, is a special, invitation-only event for boarding administrators and leaders in international Christian schools around the world.
This year, we are pleased to announce that the boarding summit will be held at the Paradise Hotel in beautiful Penang, Malaysia.
Dates: March 8–11, 2012

The boarding summit will be a round-table discussion of important issues and strategies affecting international boarding programs. See below for a sample of the topics to be discussed:
- Boarding Accreditation Manual Rewrite—As boarding programs grow and change, we want to make sure our manual continues to reflect today’s requirements for excellence in boarding.
- Boarding Personnel Certification—We will discuss standards that can be met by your boarding staff that will help them achieve ACSI Boarding Personnel Certification.
- The Next International Boarding Conference—Some time will be given to planning the next IBC—when, where, what topics, etc.
- Trends in Boarding—We will discuss questions like, What is happening out there? What will boarding look like in five to ten years? Where will future boarders come from? What are the implications for our current programs?
- Expected Outcomes for Boarders—What do we hope our students will look like as a result of attending our boarding programs? Boarding programs should understand their own unique mission and vision in support of the school.

Registration includes:
- Four-day summit attendance from the evening of March 8 through the morning of March 11
- Lunch on March 9th and 10th
- Access to exclusive nightly rates at the Paradise Hotel for Deluxe Studio Suites, which include breakfast

- Encouragement, professional development, and life-giving fellowship as a part of ACSI’s purpose to support international boarding leaders throughout the world
Cost: $300/person
A late fee of $50 will be applied to registrations received after January 31, 2012.

RM 190 equals approximately $60 USD.
Room reservations must be made through ACSI; however, hotel rooms will be billed to the individual, to be paid upon check-in by credit card or cash only.

Housing rates include breakfast for two people per room. Conference housing rates are available for the nights of March 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th.

Transportation and Visas
Transportation is not included in your registration fee. The best and cheapest way to get to the hotel from the airport is by taxi. Use the map below to view the airport and hotel locations and to generate directions.

Each conference delegate is responsible to determine whether or not they require a visa to enter Malaysia. Citizens of the United States do not require a visa for visits up to three months in length.

Refund & Cancellation Policy
Summit registrations will not be accepted after February 17th, 2012. A refund of your registration fee minus $25 is available through February 16th, 2012. After this time, no refund is available. Returned checks will be assessed a $25 fee, and declined credit cards will be assessed a $10 fee. Registrations sent via fax will be considered pending until payment has been received.
In the event that you need to cancel your room reservation, cancellation notice must be given to the International Conference Coordinator 30 days prior to the arrival date on your reservation. For last-minute cancellations, the price of one night's stay will be charged to the provided credit card.
