The Intermission Missionary Kid Education Consultation (IMKEC) is an annual meeting of (primarily) home-office sending agency personnel who have MK education issues as part of their responsibilities. IMKEC also welcomes mission and MK school administrators.
The 2010 IMKEC will be held in Chiang Mai, Thailand on November 20–22, 2010 at the Empress Hotel.

Pricing can be a low as $159.00 per person or as much as $345.00 per person for 3 days, depending on their choices. The package rates include November 20, 21, and 22, 2010. Any additional hotel rooms will be charged non-package rates or you may choose to stay at different accommodations those evenings.
- Superior Twin/Double Room $53 x 3 days = $159.00
- Superior Single Room $69 x 3 days = $207.00
- Suites Single $115 x 3 days = $345.00
- Suite Twin $82 x 3 days = $246.00
The Package Rates include accommodations, meeting rooms, breakfast, lunch, coffee, tea, and snacks during breaks, airport transportation, conference materials, computers with internet, and all other SAM services on a per day basis. There isn’t a separate conference price and a separate housing and meal price, but is combined into one total. Any additional days at the hotel will be separate pricing, but will be added to the total payment.
Evening meals are on your own. The Empress Hotel is located in a very populated area. It is within walking distance (1 or 2 kilometers), or a very short local transport ride, of Chiang Mai’s Night Bazaar. There are numerous local (Thai) food and western food choices such as: McDonalds, Burger King, Subway, Duke’s, and Starbucks. Arabic, Italian, and vegetarian restaurants are also in the area. The hotel has three restaurants. You may view these on their website. Dinner in the hotel coffee shop, or from room service, is about 180 baht (~$5.60 US) or more per person. Also, the hotel provides two bottles of drinking water free in each accommodation room per day.

- Superior Twin/Single Room 1,556.00 Baht per room, per day = ~$48.00 US
- Suite Twin/Single Room 3,500.00 Baht per room, per day = ~$108.00 US
- Extra Bed 500.00 Baht per room, per day = ~$16.00 US
