Keynote Titles:

►Keynote Overview:
Teaching in the Kingdom of God
President Alexander will explore the dynamics of Christian education in light of what it means to do our work. As Christian educators we are participants in the establishment of the Kingdom of God. Drawing upon Christ’s Priestly Prayer in John 17, Dr. Alexander will explore three primary dimensions essential to the Kingdom of God—to love, to learn, to serve.

►Keynote One:
Teaching in the Kingdom of God—To Love as We Are Loved
Our fundamental call as Christian educators is the call to love. The love of God in Christ is learned and expressed in the relationships of the Christian education community—teacher and student, teacher and teacher, teacher and parent.

►Keynote Two:
Teaching in the Kingdom of God—To Learn of Truth & Talents
As Christian educators we live, teach and learn in the context of Jesus as the center and source of truth. We learn to develop our talents and the talents of our students as stewards of the gifts we have been given so that we might be His Kingdom agents.

►Keynote Three:
Teaching in the Kingdom of God—To Serve In, Not Of
As Christian educators we don’t seek to keep our students out of the world, rather we prepare them to be strong and equipped to be sent into the world. We must understand the nature of the Kingdom of God so that we can provide understanding and experiences for our students to know God, His love and His Kingdom call upon their lives.

Worship

►Musical Guest Artist: Jon Bauer

The heart and message of Jon Bauer, Canada’s Gospel Music Association’s 2008 Male Vocalist of the Year has found favor with a wide audience; that worship is more than music…it’s a lifestyle. With over 12 years experience as a worship leader, artist, speaker, and teacher, Jon now tours internationally as a full time artist. From services and concerts, to seminars and schools Jon permeates borders between the church and classroom. His teaching background has given Jon the unique gift to train and equip both in the church and school setting. Whether singing to thousands or sharing in an intimate seminar setting, Jon’s authentic nature draws people in to worship God.

With three popular worship CD’s that have garnered numerous nominations and awards from Worship Album of the Year to Artist of the Year, Jon’s passion is to help all generations know God and make Him known.

Not new to the industry, Jon’s U.S. debut entitled Light of Another World marks his 4th collection of original music and is being produced by Rusty Varenkamp (co-producer for Rush of Fools, Bebo Norman, 10th Avenue North, Meredith Andrews and more) and includes passionate lyrics directed towards the church including standout tracks “Forevermore,” “Come & Save Us,” and the title track “Light of Another World.”
