Southern CA Early Educators Conference 2011–12

Intentionally Cultivating Potential
God tells us in Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
As an early educator, God daily gives us many opportunities to develop the potential of each child in our classroom for a very specific time in his or her life, not only for this year but a potential that can last for eternity. How do we accomplish this God sized mission?

Julie has facilitated Leadership Encounters for churches, non-profit businesses, ministries and schools. Julie comes with over twenty years of experience as a business consultant, trainer, and coach.
Workshop Description
The Lead Like Jesus Leadership Encounter examines Jesus as an effective model for leadership while equipping participants to lead as He did. Through this interactive participant-centered workshop, you will be challenged to look at Jesus in a new and life-changing way. You will not only discover your own personal barriers to effective leadership, but you will also learn about the power of the Heart, Head, Hands, and Habits of servant leadership and how it can transform your relationships with colleagues, parents, and those you lead. During this workshop you will:
- Examine issues of pride and fear and their impact on your ability to successfully lead
- Create a personal leadership mission statement
- Learn seven principles to effectively lead change
- Study “The Way of the Carpenter” and how to lead others according to their level of readiness for a task
- Prepare for interactions with others using the Heart, Head, Hands, and Habits of a servant
- Develop an action plan to lead more like Jesus when you return to work
Testimonials
Here’s what Early Education Directors are saying about Lead Like Jesus:
“This encounter spoke to everything I am in the midst of doing, both in my professional and personal life! “
“The interactive activities were very special and helpful to see myself honestly as well as others.”
“Julie did a wonderful job in teaching to all of our different learning styles. The time flew by and I left wanting more.”
“The entire day was enjoyable and one of personal reflection as to how Jesus leads me and in turn, how I should lead like Him.”
Months after attending the conference, one ACSI director describes the transformational impact of the Lead Like Jesus Encounter:
“Lead Like Jesus changed the way I lead because Julie showed me it was more about the relationships I created than the work I needed to get done. I now serve my people the way Jesus did; as a result I have a staff that is more committed to God, the children and the center.”
