The Early Education Teacher Certificate is valid:
- for five years
- for persons holding a minimum of an associate degree in early childhood education or child development from an approved institution
- for persons holding a degree in a field other than early childhood education or child development with an additional 24 semester hours in ECE or Child Development.
Requirements
- Hold a minimum of an associate degree in early childhood education or child development from an approved institution
- Have an additional 24 semester hours in ECE/CD, if degree is in a field other than ECE/CD
- Hold a valid First Aid card
- Hold a valid Infant/Child CPR card
- Have completed the ACSI Principles and Practices of Christian Early Education Course
- Have completed 12 clock hours in Bible
Acceptable training might include:
a. Christian education courses
b. Walk Through the Bible, Bible Study Fellowship, Women of Faith, Beth Moore, or The Truth Project type courses
c. Attendance at children's ministry conferences
d. Bible courses taught during teacher conventions, workshops, or enablers
e. Bible courses taught through Christian college (does not have to be for college credit)
Submit a short written summary on letterhead from leader, teacher, or pastor, if no certificate has been issued

Renewal Process
- Letter from administrator/director stating length of time employed and validation that candidate has met state and local regulatory requirements, including appropriate background screenings
- Hold a current First Aid and Infant/Child CPR card
- Complete 12 additional clock hours in Bible
- Complete 30 additional clock hours of professional growth
